De-escalation Training
Workplace de-escalation training can help employees (especially in violence/crisis-related occupations) understand the causes and manifestations of anger, prioritize their safety, dynamically assess risks, remain calm, communicate effectively with care, and make informed decisions on how to deal with aggressive and challenging behavior.
De-escalation training provides foundational skills to keep an individual safe when confronted by a stressed or aggressive person. De-escalation training will teach the primary signs and symptoms of stressed, aggressive, or violent behavioral indicators and appropriate levels of response for each indicator. This training will expand a learner’s communication skills, making them aware of threatening behavior and using appropriate responses.
